BE Lifestyle Retreats is a family owned and run business based on Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Business founder Belinda Wardlaw established the business in 2006, to meet an acute need within the disability sector for tailored short to long term and respite care for people with high care physical disabilities and their families/carers, as an alternative to institutionalised care.

The business has since grown and expanded to offer a range of accommodation and care options for people with physical disabilities and the frail aged, including short, medium, long term and respite care; and a variety of complementary services.

BE Lifestyle Retreats truly understands the needs of people with disabilities and their families.  Managing Director Belinda Wardlaw has Muscular Dystrophy and is confined to an electric wheelchair, and as such is uniquely placed to completely understand the care your loved ones need.  Belinda's high standards for her own personal daily care provide a benchmark for her business, thereby ensuring a consistently high level of personal care provision and lifestyle support for her customers.

Staff

All personal care services are provided by experienced, qualified staff, who are chosen for their expertise, their personal and accommodating manner, and their understanding of customers' full care needs.

All staff:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant field
  • Possess a minimum Certificate III in Disability or Aged Care
  • Have cleared health evaluations, national Aged and Child Federal Police Checks
  • Have completed 10 hours of exclusive high care training in peg feed, insulin management, continence, bowel care management, tracheotomy care and manual handling.
