BE Lifestyle Retreats is a privately-owned business located on Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Business founder and Managing Director Belinda Wardlaw established the business in 2006, to meet an acute need for individualised assisted living for people with high care physical disabilities, as a refreshing alternative to institutionalised care. 

Our model is based on four-bedroom retreats, providing Customers with a warm, family-style environment, whilst receiving the high level holistic care they need to enjoy a full, socially included life.

Belinda's motivation and indepth knowledge of the needs of people with disabilities stems from living with her own disability, a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy.  Confined to an electric wheelchair and reliant on 24 hour care for her physical needs, Belinda and BE Lifestyle Retreats are uniquely placed to completely understand the care your loved one needs.

Belinda's high standards for her own personal daily care provide a benchmark for her business, ensuring a consistently high level of personal care provision and lifestyle support for her customers.

With a strong commitment to Best Practice in disability care, in 2011 BE Lifestyle Retreats established a comprehensive Quality System which underpins our service delivery across all operations.  This Quality System was officially recognised in our certification against the Queensland Disability Service Standards (QDSS) in November 2011.  Achievement of Certification to QDSS provides Customers with confidence that BE Lifestyle Retreats has effective management systems in place that work and are regularly reviewed.
